Haley St, Prinsep St and Carmody Place Revitalisation

Project Overview

The City of Bunbury in its City Centre Action Plan sets out the vision to foster growth and revitalise the City Centre.
This vision includes turning the city centre into a network of thriving, attractive streets and laneways that are engaging, inclusive, easily accessible, integrated in design, and celebrate Bunbury’s identity.

What's happening?

The project, which commenced in Spring 2022 provides a new streetscape and road layout to enhance the appeal of the area, make it safer for the community and provide better access to the nearby businesses and shopping precinct.

Approximately 100 new street trees will be planted during the project, creating a green avenue of trees combined with an understory of Australian plant species supported by a water sensitive urban design. New street furniture added in key locations.

March 2023 Update

The Roadworks portion of work is now complete, with the area now fully trafficable. Brick Paving to footpaths is largely complete, with some minor sealing works continuing on the paved areas. The reticulation and landscaping will be the next portion of works to be completed, which is likely to occur through May and June.

Enjoy the transformation!
