The Parks and Playgrounds Action Plan 2023-2033 guides what assets are to be included in the design. Neighbourhood parks can accommodate a variety of amenity enhancements, dependant on site specific considerations.
These can include bins, drink fountains, landscapes areas, reticulated turf, picnic setting, bench seating, shelter, shade trees, pathways, BBQ, bike racks, interpretive signage, lighting of BBQ areas as potential options for consideration.
Neighbourhood parks provide for a variety of recreational and social experiences. Residents are attracted by a variety of features and facilities. These parks can service as the recreational and social focus of a community, as well as protecting natural values.

Our team is currently in the planning phase of the project. Once we’ve gathered an understanding of our community’s preferences for the playground and key considerations for the space, we will develop a range of design options.
We will then invite the community to review these concepts and select their preferred design before moving into the construction phase.
