Greening Bunbury

The City engaged with the community on Greening Bunbury in 2020 which was adopted by Council on 23 November 2021.

As part of the consultative process, the City in collaboration with environmental specialists ArborCarbon sought community feedback, via a survey and interactive map, to further develop its Greening Bunbury Plan.

The City values the natural environment and green spaces and recognises the social, environmental and economic benefits of urban forest and tree canopy in our community.

In cities throughout the world, urban forest is increasingly under pressure from competing interests of urban development, construction, increasing population density and climate change.

Feedback gathered from the community helped the City in achieving its vision of creating a resilient, healthy and diverse urban forest that will contribute to the health and wellbeing of the community.

The City of Bunbury acknowledges the traditional owners of the land, the Wardandi Noongar people, and pays respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
