City of Bunbury Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) - Internal Staff Survey

Project Overview

Reconciliation starts with listening

The City of Bunbury is developing a new Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) in partnership with Marrak Holdings.

Before the RAP is written, we want to understand the experiences, perspectives and ideas of our people. Whether reconciliation has been part of your work for years or you're just beginning to learn more, your voice matters.

What is a RAP?

The City previously participated in the Greater Bunbury Reflect RAP developed in 2019. The new City of Bunbury Reflect RAP provides an opportunity to build on that work, reflect the views of our community and organisation, and identify future priorities and actions. The RAP is being developed through Reconciliation Australia's nationally recognised framework and will help guide how we strengthen relationships, respect and opportunities with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Why are we asking for feedback?

A meaningful RAP starts with understanding where we are today and where we want to go.

We want to hear:

  • What you currently know about reconciliation
  • Where you think the City is doing well
  • Where there are opportunities to improve
  • Ideas for future actions and initiatives
  • How the City can strengthen relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities

You do not need to be an expert. Whether you have lived experience, professional knowledge, ideas to share or simply want to contribute, we welcome your feedback.

We want you to feel comfortable sharing your views. All survey responses will be treated as strictly confidential, and you can choose to complete the survey anonymously if you prefer.

What happens next?

Your feedback will help shape the development of the City's RAP. All responses will be reviewed by the project team, Marrak Holdings and the RAP Working Group to identify key themes, priorities and opportunities. Individual responses will remain confidential and findings will be reported as a summary of overall feedback.
