The City of Bunbury has kicked off a project to create a refreshed concept design for our iconic Bicentennial Square and surrounding precinct.
Located between the City Centre and beautiful Leschenault Inlet, Bicentennial Square is a strategic site with great potential to become a thriving, activated town square, and vibrant community space.
Aligning to our Community Priority of Bunbury City Centre Development and Activation, and a focus within our 2032 Strategic Community Plan, this project aims to enhance this area by creating a refreshed design to create a truly functional and vibrant town square. This is an exciting opportunity and one that our local community, businesses owners and visitors can influence and enjoy.
Previously our community has provided feedback through the 2023 MARKYT Community Scorecard survey, sharing their thoughts and ideas on how we can better activate the City Centre while continuing to develop the area by supporting improved liveability, community outcomes, progressive development and attracting investment.
We invite all community members to share their ideas, feedback and considerations through the online survey regarding the potential for this space by the 20th December.
Keep an eye on our website and social media channels for updates on the project and further opportunities to get involved.
Together, we can create a precinct that truly reflects the heart and soul of our community including consideration of a fresh new name for the square.
