City of Bunbury Community Sundowner

The City of Bunbury warmly invites you to attend a community sundowner to launch our Corporate Business Plan and to celebrate the recently released Strategic Community Plan.

Come along on Thursday 13 October as we give an overview of these two important documents as well as showcase key projects.

There will also be an opportunity to chat with Bunbury City Councillors and staff in a casual setting.

Collectively, community members provided close to 60,000 words with their ideas and suggestions that helped to inform these plans. The City of Bunbury Community Sundowner is our way of thanking you for being a part of the process.

The community sundowner will be held in the Council Function Room on Thursday 13 October from 5.30pm to 7.30pm. Nibbles and limited refreshmentswill be provided.

To register your attendance please RSVP by Wednesday 5 October. For more details check the 'What's On' section at the top right of this page.

In preparation of the Strategic Community Plan (SCP), the City consulted with more than 1000 community members who live, work or visit the City of Bunbury. It took into account 943 responses to the City’s Community Scorecard as well as a series of workshops conducted in 2021.

The Strategic Community Plan was adopted by Council on 21 April 2022.

The priority areas outlined by the community and included in the SCP are linked to the five core pillars of People, Planet, Place, Prosperity and Performance.

Each pillar of the SCP has been linked with related community aspirations and outcomes. These inform the City’s planning and budgeting over the next ten-year period via the City’s Corporate Business Plan, and as a result the projects, programs and services required to deliver on the community’s aspirations for Bunbury.

The City of Bunbury acknowledges the traditional owners of the land, the Wardandi Noongar people, and pays respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
